Vacuum Cleaning Robot: Making Your Life Simpler

Yet another addition to the stable of automated home devices to make life simpler- the vacuum cleaning robot is getting increasingly affordable by the day. These easy gadgets are almost fully automated these days and the only contribution to cleaning on your part would involve unloading the dust bin. This is, of course, apart from occasional cleaning of a few areas that a traditional vacuum cleaner might be able to access whereas the robot would find difficult. If you’re already seeing it as a downside, you should think about the places that the vacuum cleaning robot easily accesses and that you would have had a tough time doing- like surfaces below sofas and beds.
A boon to many working couples, the vacuum cleaning robot of today comes fitted with features that only the highest end models once had- timers to schedule your cleaning session, auto docking (which means your robot will dock itself to the charging unit after doing its job), different modes of operation such as random, spiral-cleaning, corner-cleaning, etc. (which may be automatic-selection again). These cleaners work well with floors- wood or tiled or even carpeted but if you have different types of floors within the house, it might take some intervention on your part since the little robots tend to get stuck. Alternatively, you can shell out a few extra bucks and go for the higher end models that are even more automated (called ‘intelligent’) and thus deal well with transition of terrain. If there are a lot of brittle objects around, you have more reason to go for a decent model- they come equipped with radar technology that when faced with an obstacle, changes course even before a collision takes place. The best part about the ultrasound vacuum cleaning robot is that it makes a map of the cleaning area and thus ensures every inch gets cleaned, and no place is swept twice, unless required. This is something of an impossibility when manual vacuuming is considered.
Features such as self-charging may be additions over the usual functionality in the case of simpler models. Other accessories include remote control, wall mounting, and even virtual walls- if you intend to restrict the robot from cleaning a particular room. Some models may be fitted with electrostatic paper for clean sweeping wooden and tiled floors. Some of the things you may want to consider while picking the right model are the working time of battery, size of the dust bin and transition capabilities. Depending on your interiors, you can decide which model to go for to suit your needs. Size of the unit is usually standard but a few higher end models come fitted with computers and several sensors and are thus larger- you may want to check to see if the dimensions of this vacuum cleaning robot are compatible with your furniture so as to allow for easy access.
So if you are a sucker for automation and don’t quite enjoy the process of cleaning floors, this is one appliance worth having.
